MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) is an essential technology for solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. It continuously optimizes the maximum power point (MPP) of solar panels, allowing the extraction of the highest amount of power from sunlight. 

MPPT is used in solar inverters and charge controllers to optimize the relationship between solar panels and electricity supply to the connected load, battery backup or grid.

MPPT's use specified algorithms to calculate the maximum power point (MPP) on the IV-curve at any given time.
